A grand story of landscape, wildlife and architecture, inspired by Ladakh’s incredible diversity, unfurls in a sequence of murals and wall coverings. From gauzy high- altitude mountain splendour to intimate close up inside Leh Palace, each pattern is a patient and richly detailed composition of marks, nuanced form, subtle shading and texture. The collection is the outcome of an extensive research, which was subsequently visually translated into a wall covering collection. Sponsored by Wariwatai for Lab Nilaya, Asian Paints, the collection had a soft launch in December 2022, followed by an official release in later months of 2023. It garnered positive feedback and was well-received, according to reports.
